Note to Alex apologists: How are the Bosox doing since trading his near [offensive] equal, that is Manny? You see, cheaper players can be found, and who can win. And Manny has two (2) WS rings, how many does Alex have?

What a waste of $300 million.

If Torre was managing, a million gripes about him burning out Veras would be circulating on the internet.

Girardi is in over-his-head.

The shocking thing is the Blue Jay offense. This week Purcey pitched a complete game , struck out 11, gave up one run and the Jays still lost. Burnett pitched a CG too and we saw the outcome to that. If an abysmal offensive team (they are tops in pitching 1-12 and fielding this season) like Toronto can get to the soft white underbelly of the bullpen what else can be said. The bullpen is not terrible, but it ain't grand either.

I thought that this one would be fun to have since the Yanks won against Burnett yesterday. On paper yesterday looked like it was the Jays to lose (even though they rarely hit) and that's why the games are not played on paper. Tomorrow is more trouble with Halladay, but Pettitte is pitching. Will we see the good Andy or the bad Andy? Methinks the good Andy, but is it good enough to beat Doc at his own game? He just might do it.........
