And…We’re Back!

I’ve been off-line for the last 37 hours or so. We took the kids to Cooperstown for a short stay. I have some fun pictures to share soon…once I catch up on my Yankee blogging. Anyone even miss me?

Let’s just say it was a long day at work!
Steve, I was in Cooperstown this past week (Aug.27-29). I took one of the guys I work for (an adult with developmental disabilities) for a little vacation. We stayed at the Red Carpet Inn just south of the village and took in both the Hall and the Farmer’s Museum. I must say I was quite impressed with the Hall—it’s changed around alot since I first visited there 35 years ago. The only downer for me was that the trolleys didn’t have wheelchair lifts. Other than that, it was a splendid time. And, oh yes, we enjoyed eating at the Triple Play restaurant.
antone – try driving for almost 5 hours, early in the AM, following a night where you got little sleep, then keeping a 4 and 6-year old entertained, etc., for 7 hours, then getting some sleep, then doing the kid thing for another 8 hours, and then doing the 5 hour drive thing again…and having fun at it too! [wink]
Tresh Fan – Wow! We missed you by a couple of days…we were there on 9/1 and 9/2.
We were there last in 2005 – and some of the HOF was being worked on then…so, this was nice.
We did end up taking the trolley for a round trip. The kids loved it. It’s funny what they enjoy and what they don’t enjoy…you never know.
More on the whole trip to follow once I post the pictures…
I’m glad you had a good time and I’m looking forward to hearing about it.
Thanks Lee!
Steve… you were gone?
Glad you had a good time, looking forward to the pictures too.
Hope you’re able to make it up there for the induction ceremonies, I’m sure the kids will enjoy the noise, energy, cotton candy & ice cream
I guess from the sounds of it, the kids cooperated? It’s hit or miss when traveling with children; sometimes they’re really good, other times not so.
Well, the kids had their moments. But, on the whole, all things considered, they were good and had fun. And, it’s all about them having fun. That’s why we went.
Ouch, OldYanksFan, you got me.
Steve..that was my macho way of saying you were missed haha
Thanks antone!
