I also had no idea how that would work. I just thought I would throw out the idea and let you decide if there was any merit to it.

Not sure how that would work and where it would then also be part of the blog content. The idea is to have the in-game comments to be something here for all to see.

I'm really not interested in in-game discussions. Between watching the game, monitoring the rest of the majors, listening to Harry Potter and checking out Daily Kos, I've got enough on my hands each night. Plus, an ipod touch really isn't good for typing out discussions.

But, I might have an idea for the potential problem of trolling. Would a private chat room be a good solution?

FWIW, I would do the same here.
-------
Figured that would be the case, recalling Chewbacca's half delusional rants back in the day.

Thanks Ken. It will not be moderated. Are there any blogs out there now that moderate their “in-game” threads?
------------
I don't know of any, I would think it to be a time consuming process. Guys over @ Bronx Banter are pretty civil, and whenever someone gets out of line or starts trolling, they're usually kicked out by Arenson, and their posts subsequently removed.

2 thoughts about in-game comments:

1- It would need to be moderated to maintain the standards of this blog. A few jokers can ruin everything. Also, I imagine that moderating could take a lot of time and effort. You would need to be prepared for it.

2- If it gets too successful then it gets hard to read. Pete Abe's blog now gets hundreds of posts per game. That is hard to follow. I no longer read his comments section for that reason. (But his own in-game commentary is still the best.)
