How About This For A Last Game?

Let’s say, by some miracle, that the Yankees and Red Sox were tied for the A.L. Wildcard at the end of the season.

How cool would it be, assuming New York won the coin flip, if that the last “regular season” game in Yankee Stadium turned out be a one-game, winner take all, “play-in” Wildcard tie-breaker between the Yankees and the Red Sox?

Then again, how terrible would it be if there was such a “last game” at Yankee Stadium and it turns out that the Sox beat the Yankees in that game?
