I don’t agree. Ask Orioles fans if they love him. Going to Fenway to throw out a ceremonial pitch in last year’s playoffs? Jeez, that’s just atrocious.

I don’t begrudge RSN fans for loving Millar just as we love our own former heroes of mediocre pedigree (Brosius, Tino, etc.). But Millar is an annoying asswipe.

I am not saying his comments are disrespectful. I just hate Kevin Millar.

Anyone who isn’t blinded by hatred of the Sox wouldn’t see the issue either, Antone.

I actually think it’s respectful of him to want to hit the last HR because it shows he knows it’s a big deal and would be part of the history of the game. He seems to be very respectful of the Yankees and their history.

Now it would be different if he said that he is as good as Jeter and deserves to hit the last HR in Yankee Stadium just as much as Jeter does. That would be similar to Paplebon’s comments about Rivera closing out the All-Star Game.

I really don’t see the issue with Millar’s comments.

“It would be nice to be the last home run, to go down in history that way,” Millar says.
