“Who does Aceves remind you of?”
Shawn Chacon? Just in appearance, hopefully not as a pitcher or as a person.

He reminds me of Ian Kennedy—in as much as Cashman will look at three or four garbage time September starts and pencil him into next year’s Opening Day rotation.

Or, they will use him as trade bait in the off-season and he will be, to use a phrase heard all over these days, “the next Josh Beckett”.
And then everyone will second guess the GM as if it was so obvious how his career would turn out.

I think Aceves has a bit more professional experience than Kennedy.
Of course, Kennedy blew threw the minors last year, and held his own down there this year as well, so we’ll see him next year provided he isn’t traded.

Ugh. I try to take something positive out of a game for the first time in a week or so and you guys start dragging Kennedy, Cashman, and Chacon into the discussion.
