On his radio appearance today, [Curt Schilling] blasted New York fans for their joy over [Tom] Brady’s impending knee surgery.
“The euphoria in New York is palpable,” Schilling said. “The Yankees suck this year and they are bitter and mad and making excuses over that. Now they got Tom going down so New York’s excited. It’s unfortunate, but when you crawl to the top of the pile you will have people trying to knock you down.”
After blasting New York fans for being enthused over Brady’s injury, Schilling took the time to remind fans that he was a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks when they beat the Yankees in the 2001 World Series.
“I was front row and center when their ‘dynasty’ ended,” Schilling said.
Schilling then praised the fans of Boston, who have long been known for respecting the Yankees and rooting for nothing but good health for their stars.
“They want us to be as bitter and mad as they are,” Schilling said. “Unfortunately, it’s not going to happen.”
You know, Bob Feller is now almost 90-years old. If you’ve ever read “Bullet Bob Comes to Louisville,” well, then you know what a horse’s rear Bob can be, at times, in his old age. But, Feller can’t last forever. Someday, the world will need another old, out of shape, over-opinionated, still trying to live off his glory days, pitcher. And, when that day comes, ol’ Red Light Schilling will be more than ready to fill that void.

Is he deaf? Does he not hear those “Yankees Suck” Chants? How about those Yankees suck/Jeter swallows t-shirts? Yeah, that’s real respect.
By the way, you don’t need to go to Fenway to hear yankees suck chants. They chant at Celtics games, at rock concerts, at Patriots games, at a Patriots Super Bowl parade… I think they even chant yankees suck after Communion at St. Brendans in Dorchester.

I’ve defended Schill before ( check past posts to prove it) but he really seems insane. Red Sox are Mass**les pure and simple. Look, Yankee fans can be very arrogant and tasteless ,but Boston team fans are animals, They are classless if anything. It’s funny that Schill mentioned Arizona because he left the game as a loser, he would have been the losing pitcher if Mo came through! His take on NY fans is so off it’s remarkable. Mr on September nice call on the “Yankee Suck ” Chants. That is ridiculous. BTW, where is “Once Was A Yankee Fan”? I’d love to hear his take on Schill the Shrill.
