Per Neil Best (with a hat tip to XM MLB Chat) –
Michael Kay has re-signed for another three years as YES’ Yankees play-by-play man, which will take him through his 10th season with the network…
Ah, three more years of hearing pretentious sesquipedalia verba and tediously repetitive phrases. Oh, boy, I can’t wait…

Who do you think you are, Brock Yates?
Major bummer to hear this news. I guess Yankee brass doesn’t give a crap that most Yankee fans hate Kay’s guts.

Doesn’t matter. AFAIK, the brass has never had a problem with Kay. He’s a company man who won’t make waves during a broadcast.
He’s playing the game, he knows which side his bread is buttered, and he’s well compensated as a result.
he also really hates it when Jeter bunts. Really.
Yeah, we heard that one tonight for the millionth time…
I don’t have a problem with Kay. As long as they keep a notorious non Yankee(who does a great job calling and doing color, too) Ken Singleton, I’ll be a happy camper. The thing, I don’t like about Yes is there are too many analysts. As much as I love Paul O and Coney as players, I’m left underwhelmed by their banter/tv personas.
