Jason Giambi has 30 HR and 92 RBI this season, to date. If Giambi gets 8 more RBI, he will join Babe Ruth (in 1932 & 1933) as the only Yankees batters in history to have 30+ HR and 100+ RBI in a season where they were 37 years of age or older.
Betcha they would both drink to that…or anything for that matter.

What was that bet that you had with Giambi again? How many HR and RBI?

Don’t worry – that picture will be coming…in October, as promised.
Just need to make the sign and get my wife to take the picture.

Giambi gets a bad rap on a lot of Yankee blogs. I like the guy. They would be better off keeping Jason for one more year (net $17m) and trading Matsui to try and get a piece. At 1yr/$13m, Matsui maight be attractive to some American league team. I don’t think the Yankees are going after Tex. We might see Posada at 1B in 2010 or 2011.
