Jon Lester seemed to have no put away pitch, and he struggled with pitch counts too. And he didn’t have the minor league results that Hughes had. And what does he look like now? One of the best pitchers in the league.

Steve, you were money on this if what your reporting is right, I cant see the game here in DC…but seriously, why is this guy so hyped, and if you know he cant do the stuff he is hyped to do why not trade him knowing your gonna get Santana. I have to believe cash just wanted to sign him as a free agent and was hoping the twins would hold on to him for the year. Maybe cash just sacrificed this trade so that he could instill a culture of not trading young talent. He had to know, did he not see this guy pitch, him and Ian. Who is reporting this stuff to him. How many chances does a guy get? It’s been 8 years for Cashman. 200 mill a yr for 8 years and he still can’t put together a starting rotation of any note?
