I’m very concerned about this guy’s negative influence on our fortunes for the next (swallowing hard) nine years. He’s a one-man soap opera with so many story lines. Even if his private life doesn’t affect the rest of the team it does clearly affect his own performance, er, on the field, that is.
Bottom line is that he needs to perform to the level of his salary and his position in the batting order. I fear that he is not up to it.
