Let The A-Rod/Madonna Madness Begin…
Via E! -
E! News has learned that Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez knew Madonna was planning to drop the divorce bomb and was miles away “lying low” to avoid being connected to the split.
A source close to the all-world ballplayer says Rodriguez retreated to Miami during the weekend of Oct. 4, while Madonna descended on the New York City area for her Sticky and Sweet World Tour.
Instead, Rodriguez made an effort to be photographed by paparazzi partying it up at Prime 112 steakhouse, a hot spot eatery in South Beach.
“He was in Miami because he didn’t want any gossip to come up when she was in New York,” the insider tells E! News. “He wanted to make sure he was seen in Miami. He wanted to be seen out.”
The revelations come amid renewed reports that Madonna and Rodriguez are more than “just friends”—and that status had a big role in their respective divorces.
Madonna and Guy Ritchie have barely been seen together in months, even as Madonna reportedly dined with Rodriguez and was spotted at a Yankees game in recent weeks.
Why do I have a feeling that Madonna, if given the “attention” platform that an association with A-Rod and the Yankees will provide, is going to make Anna Benson seem like Barbara Bush?

The whole Anna Benson thing was overblown. People will get offended and make a big deal out of anything they want. Not that Kris Benson was a good pitcher but the Mets were idiots to trade him away JUST BECAUSE of Anna Benson’s low-cut Santa suit.
you know what? This pisses me off. What is A-Rod’s problem? Madonna? Are you Kidding ME? If your A-Rod and your making the money he makes would you want to be spending time with the 50 year old Madonna? All the chicks in the world, and you come up with Madonna? For the sake of all men out there, someone slap some sense into this dude.
Do you really care who Alex Rodriguez is dating?
~~Do you really care who Alex Rodriguez is dating?~~
In general, no.
But, if it’s something that’s going to become an embarrassment and/or annoyance to the team, because of the media-aspect; and/or, if it becomes something that impacts his performance on the field (in an adverse way) because of the games the media-aspect and/or fan reaction plays with his head, then, yes, Yankees fans should probably care…
