“It scares the bejesus out of me, as a Yankees fan”
---------------------
Absolutely agree. Part of Boss Steinbrenner's legacy is that in addition to being a bastard of an employer, he's left us with a bunch of underqualified idiots all fighting for a piece of the kingdowm.

Since we all know the Yanks are money-grubbers, why don't they have a reality show on YES where the winning contestant gets to be the owner for a year? In truth, that person would be no more and no less qualified to own the club than any of the Boss's kids or in-laws.

"It scares the bejesus out of me, as a Yankees fan" I agree, the prospect of the present think tank being in place long term and competing against Boston and Tampa is reason to be very afraid.
Saw something recently sugggesting the Yanks hire Pat Gillick as a consultant. Checked out his resume,(Wilipedia) in a perfect world the Brothers Stein and Cash go away and an accomplished baseball man runs the whole show. Unfortunately, the chances appear to be slim and none.
