How About Hughes For Saltalamacchia Now? Yanks To Decline Option On Marte
Nov 02

The Peoria Javelinas got their tails kicked in the AFL yesterday.

Relax, Phil Hughes didn’t pitch.

Come to think of it, Hughes hasn’t seen an AFL action since he was beat up in the Rising Stars game – on October 24th.

So, Hughes hasn’t pitched in the last 8 days in the AFL…

What was it that Brian Cashman said about sending Hughes to Arizona? Oh, yeah, it was:

“We sent him there to get innings.”

Makes you wonder if Hughes hurt himself again or something…if not, then, why so many days between games?

Meanwhile, 4 time zones west. Andrew Brackman is on fire!!

    Fire? Dunno.
But, FWIW, yes – toss out his 1st start and he’s doing pretty good.

Brackman is pitching very well. He’s wild, which you would expect coming off TJ surgery, but the reports are that the velocity is there, as are the K’s. I’m cautiously enthusiastic.
