If the Yankees are smart, they will ensure that 2008 was the last season in New York for the “Big G.”
What’s next for Jason?
If some team is looking for an aging first baseman with limited defensive ability whose two main offensive skills are the ability to work walks and enough muscle to power mistake pitches for homers, then Giambi may have a full-time job somewhere in 2009. If not, bartenders in Vegas could see some extra big tips this summer.

Am I the only one who would like to have Giambi back for 09 at a (huge) discount?

I would suspect that you’re one of the few.
It’s time, IMHO, to close the Yankees chapter on Giambi. Been there, done that.

I suppose you’re right… I just have a hard time believing they can sign Tex. My guess is that he stays with the Angels.
