One man’s “crucify” is another man’s simple desire to see something to prove what so many claim, in this case.

Regardless, tomorrow, Yankees fanboy bloggers will proclaim that this is the Phil Hughes that we can expect to see pitching for the Yankees in the near future.

Doubtful. More likely that people who like Hughes will simply remain even-keeled and not overreact. Which is more than I can say for those who dislike him and use every iota of information to crucify him for no good reason.

It’s nice to see him go out and pitch well enough to increase his trade value to bring in Jake Peavy.

the most important thing to me in hughes’ outings is walks. If he can keep the ball in the strike zone, he’ll be ok.

I’m not on it yet. Nooooo…

It’s still WAY too early for that.

Yeah right, nice bandwagoning there.

No problem.

No one will be happier than me to see Hughes have success like this at the big league level – because it will mean wins for the Yankees.

That said, I’ll believe that he can do it in the bigs, consistently, when I see it.
