Never ceases to amaze me that a team that pimps the history aspect so much has such dogshit members of its radio and tv broadcast teams. 30 years from now, we won’t be tearfully toasting Kay’s retirement, will we?

I wish we had Vin Scully…

Hey, if Red Barber got fired, maybe someday it can happen to Kay?

Michael Kaye is the least of the Yankees broadcast crew problems. The Yankees are cursed with the worst baseball radio broadcasters in America. Sterling doesn’t broadcast the game he broadcasts what he thinks about the game. If you’re just tuning in good luck finding out the score. A poster above mentioned Vin Scully, with his eyes closed Scully could do a better job. For the premire franchise in baseball to be saddled with a radio team this bad and signed through 2011 yet, Jesus.

The TV product needs to be completely reorganized. I’d like Yes to sign another play by play man and mayybe split the home and road package with Kaye doing home games only. Singleton and John Flaherty are the best color guys, I’d get rid of David Cone and very possibly Al Leiter. Paul O’Neill is good but he doesn’t want to work any more than a handful of games which is a real shame because he has the most potential of any of them.

In a way, Michael Kay sort of reminds me of Bob Gameer, a radio broadcasting school graduate who spent one year in the Yankees booth with Phil Rizzuto and Frank Messer. Not a happy experience.

Hey Tresh Fan, I don’t know if you had heard but Bob Gamere made news a week or so ago, but as Mariano might say, it wasn’t good news. Gamere is a very seedy character to say the least, he has had numerous issues raised about his character over the years, the latest has him arrested for possession and transportation of child porn. For more details google his name and read about the very nasty details.
