It's a long way from "lackadaisical at times" to "atttitude problem" to "head case."

~~Where did we suddenly come up with Cano being a “head case?”~~~

In general, when your manager talks to you about something, over and over again, and it doesn't sink in - to the point where he eventually has to pull you from a game and have you sit on the pines to try and get the message across - it's fair to label the guy as having an attitude problem. And, doesn't "attitude problem" fall under the bigger umbrella of "head case"?

mj-
cano is now a headcase (or whatever you want to call him) because he's lacadaisical at times AND had a bad season. if he batted .300+ like the last two years, we wouldn't be talking about his mental makeup. which to a certain extent i guess is fair. but we have to remember, it's one bad season. everyone always wants to attribute it to something, like cano's mental makeup. while that could be the case, it could be just a bad season.

do agree with steve that this season is the season for robinson cano.

I admit the guy scares me. Lots of talented head cases have underperformed over MLB history. But how many guys do we have, that have shown they can be above average at their position at both O and D? Any? ARod? JD?. We simply must hold on to Cano and hope the guy gets his shit together.
