Via Roxanne Geyer of WCBS Newsradio 880, here’s some video of the Yankees kicking-off the moving of Monument Park over to the new Stadium:
*Ever see “Pride of the Yankees”? When Lou Gehrig’s mom goes to Yankee Stadium, in the movie, for the first time, looking at the bases in the infield, she asks her husband “What are those pillows for?” and he replies “You slide into them, Momma.”
To that, Mother Gehrig says “I slide into them???”
I always thought that was funny, even after all these years. So, for Momma Gehrig, guys, don’t forget to move the pillows too, OK?
For a minute there, I thought it was a Planes, Trains, and Automobiles reference
Loved that pillows line in Pride of the Yankees. Loved everything about that movie.
