he’s going to need another pitch to be effective, IMO. People just sit on his change-up…his fastball doesn’t have the velocity to blow people away. Either that or hes gonna have to pound people in with his fastball more

I think Edwar is going to have to earn his spot in the bullpen this year. I don’t see him as a lock to make their pen.

After that I think it’s wide open…unless I’m missing someone, I don’t think anyone else has earned a spot for this season yet.

Definitely no more than a middle reliever type. He should be the 5th or 6th man out of the bullpen.

Until he reduces his HR rate (13 in 76 career innings), Ramirez should not be trusted with any important innings. That rate is Mike Timlin circa 2008. Or, put another way, Mike Timlin, who has been cooked for two years now, had a lower HR rate for the last two seasons than young Mr. Ramirez, 1.38 in a hair over 100 innings to 1.53 in 76 innings.

he’s your generic reliever, maybe slightly better , he’s overall results will usually be decent enough, but one shouldn’t bank on him in a tough spot.
