It’s not often that star players get traded. But with Toronto not going anywhere anytime soon, I see no reason they wouldn’t make a deal with TB, BOS, or NY depending on what’s offered.

With star players in the AL East? Can’t remember that happening for the longest time. If anyone could find out the last time an All Star player in his prime got traded between two AL East teams then I would be interested to see that.

With regards to Mike Cameron, apparently the Brewers are p’d off about the Yankees “overbid” on Sabathia, so they might not be interested in trading Cameron to the Yanks anymore. So something good might come out of the Sabathia offer even if he doesn’t accept.

Yeah they wouldn’t trade him to the Yanks. Most likely they wouldn’t even trade him to an AL team. They’d probably trade him to the Dodgers for someone like Andre Either and maybe that kid James McDonald.

For Halladay, because he’s under control for 2 more years, the price would be huge – bigger than the price for Johan. So, while I would love to see it, I don’t think Cashman would do it.

Am I hallucinating or did I read that the Jays might be open to trading Halliday, who has two years on his contract? Wouldn’t the Yankees jump on the chance to get him? (Yes, we’d have to give up players.)
