I don’t think the Yanks have any intention of promoting Jackson in 2009, no matter if he has a great spring training or if he eats up minor league pitching at AAA. He won’t see Yankee Stadium until 2010 at the earliest.

“Yankees GM Brian Cashman called Jackson one of two positional prospects in his system closest to helping the big league team.” Last spring Cash said Gardner was the player most likely to have an “impact” on the 2008 team.It’s hard to take what he says seriously.
The right thing to do would be to give Jackson another year in the minors. Another rush job won’t help anyone.

yeah, there’s no chance that i see AJackson in the Bronx come April. his bags are packed for SWB.

I see him starting the season in SWB, strong spring or not.
