…you just cannot top The Sarah Connor Chronicles/Prison Break Monday-night double-header on FOX.

Take this evening, for example. Did anyone really see this coming with Riley and Self? I’ll take those twists over Cloris Leachman and Warren Sapp’s turns…every Monday, without fail.

Mondays are just ridiculously full. The only network that doesn’t have something on that’s worth watching is, in fact, ABC with the dancing show; of course, that’s the network that wins the night every week in the ratings. I’m not really sure what to make of television audiences.

Anyway, after hearing such good things about The Sarah Connor Chronicles lately, both here and lots of other places, I guess I’m going to have to get caught up on it. Thank God for Hulu.

Self? I was suspicious of him with the whole Gretchen deal, he seemed too fishy. It seemed like the Break crew got Scylla BUT there would be another twist and turn. Now the crew is fighting against EVERYONE! Gretchen and T-Bag probably hook up with them …..but how does T-Bag survive Self’s wrath?

In addition, Break has become the new 24 and that means anything can happen. Self using the Breakers for his own devices was a shock BUT I saw seeds of his duplicity. What sucks is that their portside lair has to be abandoned and now the guys are on the run because of Self. That being said, Self will probably end up like Wyatt.

Heroes vs Prison Break? I DVR Heroes and watch Break this season. Why? Break is definitely a roller coaster ride this season and it’s fun to see the 24 formula with a crew of guys as opposed to seeing Jack alone. The bad guys like the General , T-Bag and Gretchen (and now Self) are better.

This whole Villians arc on Heroes is becoming annoying AND Heroes is starting to look like a very dumbed down version of Watchmen and Lost. Break is a thrill a minute show this season whereas Heroes attempts to do that BUT is bogged down on Petrelli’s father, the new Ali Larter character, Sylar’s new found status as a misunderstood character, and the story is not as good as the initial season’s was.

Shame that Self turned. I was enjoying that character. Oh well.
