Talking Chop thinks the Braves should take a flyier on Kei Igawa via the Rule 5 Draft.
If someone wants to give the Yankees $50,000 for Igawa, then New York should take that money and run. And, by no means, should they offer to accept him back.
Com’on Yankees, repeat after me: “No takesies-backsies!” You can say that, can’t you?

If Igawa is selected in the draft, the Yankees don’t have a choice. And, I’m pretty sure whoever takes Igawa is stuck with him, because the original team doesn’t have to take him back.
Igawa isn’t going anywhere.

The choice, in this case, for the Yanks would be to accept Igawa back, and return half of the 50 grand, if the team that claims him wants to return him. And, that’s where they should say “no thanks.”

Kelly Gruber was the player; drafted by the Jays from the Indians. They offered him back but the Indians declined.
