If the Yanks are doing due diligence on injury prone pitchers, why hasn’t John Smoltz gotten a look?

Good question. Apparently the Red Sox are looking at Smoltz and I can’t figure out why the very mention of it didn’t get Yankee brass motivated to investigate further.
Farnsy on the Royals for $9.25M. It’s a good living if you can throw gas, even if you’re not very good.
