I have been thinking the same thing the minute I heard about it. With Youk and Pedroia gold glove players he could do very well.

Because they know that he was killed by his defense last year and is still a solid pitcher…plus, I think they would get off on seeing Pettitte wearing Sox colors. Remember Cone and Wells.

Ah screw it, just give him $16 million for one year, who cares. We gave in to Mo and Posada, giving them contracts that were more of a “thank you for what you’ve done”, not “this is for what you’re going to do”, why not do the same for Andy?

Why would the Red Sox offer that much for Pettitte? They’ve been moving so much towards youth, they wouldn’t offer Pettitte so much for so long.
Rangers wouldn’t surprise me though. Their pitching is a mess…

My money is on the Red Sox or the Rangers.
