Is this a serious question? Yea I’ll trade a 107 OPS+ for a 150 OPS+ any day!

Without delving into why this series of surveys are flawed…
…hell no. BJ Upton has talent but he’s not A-Rod now and it’s doubtful he ever will be. The Yanks would be trading down here.

If you ignore the ridiculous-ness of this trade for a second, and assume this is a one-to-one salary swap, there is at least an extremely hypothetical scenario where the Yankees are better off.
Trading A-Rod clears enough money to sign Texiera, Upton is now the starting CF and you could sign Wiggington to play 3B. You could make the argument that the Yankees are a better team that way?
That just made my head spin…
