Nick – FWIW, I’m sympathetic. After all, 30 months years ago, I was 65 pounds heavier than I am now. And, even though I lost all that weight two years ago (and have kept it off), I know the pain of carrying around extra pounds, etc.

That said, when it comes to being a professional athlete, I think it’s open game – in the sense of having to deal with people referencing your weight/size…if you’re obese (like CC).

Ask David Wells. Heck, ask Babe Ruth. This is nothing new. And, if CC can’t handle it, then he’s in the wrong business and the wrong town, for sure.

Lastly, for the record, sure, last time I checked, my folks were very proud of me. What do yours think of you?
