Even though Swish was lousy last year with the Sox team I like, the White Sox, he is useful to the Yankees as a supersub/backup/role player. Cameron’s defense is declining and his bat doesn’t make contact as much as I would like. They should keep Nady and Swish at this point and only trade them if something better comes up.

If they move Swisher, who backs up Teixeira? Swisher has too much value as someone who can play both corners, 1B, and CF (sort of, in a pinch).

Then there is the fact that trading Cameron only made financial sense for the Brewers if they got cheap Melky in return. The only way this works is if the Yanks agree to pay most of Swisher, plus all of Cameron.
