~~Sticky wasn’t up to par in the TV role ~~

Major understatement. Man, he was terrible – and just killed the series.

The first is my fave, the second very interesting due to Del Toro’s(Hellboy, Devil’s Backbone and Pan’s Labyrinth ) inspired direction and take on Blade. The Third one was more comic booky because comic book writer David Goyer was at the helm, therefore the film had more of a Marvel feel than a film feel. I went to see Trinity with a cousin from the UK and we enjoyed it because of the action sequences and the addition of Biel, Reynolds and Posey(very strange to see her in a genre fim BUT hey she wanted to stretch out of the indy world).

BTW Steve, they wanted to spinoff Biel, Reynolds and Co into a Nightstalker franchise but Trinity didn’t do the numbers they wanted to, so they effectively killed the chance of seeing the new kids on the block fight vampires to replace the Blade franchise. They wanna do a reboot of Blade, too? Damn, I loved Snipes as Blade, Sticky wasn’t up to par in the TV role so let’s hope Blade is someone who is a good actor and digs the roles as well.

FWIW, I saw a rumor for a 4th – but, it said that it would be a reboot of the 1st – since it’s been so long since that came out.

I agree on this..although I prefer the 1st. This one got better after a 2nd viewing. Ryan Reynolds nailed the action/humor and Biel..was hot! I’d love a 4th..doubt it will happen tho.
