      Is it really imminent that Montero will not be a catcher? If so, why is he still behind the plate, why not make him a 1B already?

      FWIW, Carlos Delgado and Paul Konerko were catchers right up until the time they made the majors.

      It’s killing me because I can’t remember where I read this, I think it was an ESPN chat, but reports have been that Montero’s catching skills, while still not great, have been improving. Here’s to hoping that he continues to improve and reaches a level where he can play catcher on the big league level.
