So, who disappeared faster, Chris (Mad Dog) Russo or Hank (Camel Joe) Steinbrenner? Has anyone heard anything from these guys lately?

Does Russo have a gag order of some sort? Maybe he’s preparing for his new gig.

I don’t have XM or Sirius (whichever one Russo is on) which is why I haven’t heard from Russo since he quit M&MD a couple of months ago.

Hankenstein knows he no longer has the keys to the kingdom now that Hal was officially designated the man in charge. He’s probably off pouting somewhere, berating his butlers and maids, and telling anyone who would listen that if HE were boss, Johan Santana would be in Pinstripes.

IIRC, Mad Dog’s new show started something like 4 months ago.

Let’s count our blessings and hope they continue.

Ah… I didn’t listen to him then, I have no intention of listening to him now. I guess since there isn’t any squawking, maybe his show isn’t going as well as hoped?

I didn’t pay Hank much mind either, but there really hasn’t been a reason for him to complain or say anything. Has the press gone to him for comment about the Red Sox comments after losing out on Teix?

I never cared for Russo and I was delighted when he left. That said, I’d bet he is probably the nicer side of the Mike and the Mad Dog team off the air.

Like Howard, (and sad to say I am a stockholder) going to satellite is a ticket to Palookaville. How many people actually listen to the Chris Russo channel. New Yorkers don’t follow college sports and they like baseball more than football which is pretty much opposite of the rest of the country. He probably has less than twenty five thousand listeners throughout the country (outside New York he’s basically a nobody),so why would he get any coverage. Stern was the biggest post World War II radio personality, you read about him, heard about him almost every week, today your rarely see his name mentioned and virtually never hear anything about his show.
