Apparently Manny rejected a 1Y/$25M offer from the Dodgers. I’ve learned to never doubt Scott Boras’s ability to pull a rabbit from out of a hat but, seriously, I don’t know how this one will end up working out for Manny. Are the Mets/Yanks laying in wait and not tipping their hand?
I really don’t see the Yankees making any move on this. However, you have to hope he takes a one year deal somewhere. With our entire outfield and DH probably not returning, Manny would be worth a shot next year…not this year.

Between Bernard Madoff and Citigroup issues, do the Mets have any money for Manny? I doubt it.
Yanks and Manny? Maybe if the trade Matsui and either Nady or Swisher. But, I don’t see it happening.

Between Madoff and Citi, lots of people I know and/or work with are getting hit hard. However, as a Yanks fan, I am not shedding a tear for the Mets or for the Wilpons.
