Ron Darling, on SNY’s Geico SportsNite yesterday, offers thoughts on Alex Rodriguez and using PEDs. Here’s the clip:
David Cone, John Flaherty and Al Leiter all have their positive qualities, but, man, Darling is soooo good at what he does. This is one department where the Mets have the Yankees beat.

Were the numbers on that SNY graphic (which formed the basis of Darling’s comments) park and league adjusted? Don’t think so.
Arlington is a bandbox. Steven Goldman, using EqA, observes that Alex’s top 4 seasons were before and after Texas.
That being said, I do think Darling’s style is excellent, and particularly as a game analyst.

WRT SNY vs YES in terms of broadcasters/analysts, you’re correct; it isn’t even close.
