When Posada Left A-Rod

Jorge Posada left Alex Rodriguez’ press conference yesterday about halfway through it. Reportedly, the Yankees have shared that they were unsure as to why Posada left when he did walk out.
I’ve yet to see any more reported about this in the news. Anyone else find this odd?
Update, 2/18/09, 3:30 PM EST: Via PeteAbe –
Jorge Posada had something to do with his kids yesterday, that’s why he left the press conference.
OK, time to exhale…

Anyone else find this odd?

No, not really. It could be for a number of reasons.
Heck, he could’ve had to use the men’s room.
I dunno. From what I’ve heard, ‘Sado is Jeter in terms of being ol’ school Yankees. But, unlike Jeter, he’s more than willing to bang heads with someone if it’s a situation that pisses him off. Remember the fights he had with El Duque?
If – and I’m not saying this is true, I’m just saying that it’s possible – well, *if* it came out that Posada thought A-Rod’s statements, etc., were FOS and it got to the point where he felt it was insulting and a waste of his time to sit there, so, he got up and left….hey, it would not shock me.
It wouldn’t shock me as well to think that Rodriguez’s press conference hit a bit close to home with Posada. Could be him up there in the future…

especially since his initial reaction was that he “hopes” not to be one of the 103 on the list and that he doesn’t “think” he put anything bad in his body…
Raf – If true, then I guess this makes Jorge a liar too:

He wouldn’t be the first, nor will he be the last, if he were lying.
Pete Abe reported that he had something to do with his kids. Everybody relax.
