Are we not being a little sexist here with the comments on a photo, etc.? I mean, if the beat writer from Newsday were a man, would we care what he looked like – more so over the job that they did, etc? I doubt it.

Sexist? A couple guys said they kind of have a crush on her and I said if you saw a pic of her you may rethink the crush. Of course we don’t care about a guy writer cuz nobody said they were crushing on one. If they had, it could have very well been a topic of discussion.

And, for the record, it’s really…well, there’s a word, I just can’t think of it…I wanna say bush league…but, that’s not exactly it…anyway, it’s *something* “low” to comment about someone’s photo when we have no idea what YOU look like.

Cheap shot. Yeah, that’s the word I was looking for…

Instead of commenting on what someone else looks like, show us your photo, real name, and place of occupation first. And, let us comment on your looks, etc.

I never attacked her, called her a shitty writer, a terrible human being or the most disgusting person to ever lay your eyes on. I essentially said, in so many words, that I don’t find her attractive. Does that matter with her writing? Of course not, just my personal opinion. If that struck too close to home, or it’s the kind of banter you don’t want to read, than i’ll leave those comments off the blog from now on.

Personally, I think the fact that writers like this have a job on the Yankees beat is a bit low blow to writers like you, Steve. You don’t follow the yanks for a living, you have your own job/life, yet your yankee commentary is far more intelligent than most of the writers.
