Tresh , interesting. I like the idea of a mythos, because that faux curse is over and done with. They have very smart people running the show over there, that Cash Man and Co should be paying attention to BUT it seems like Trost and Levine are content with the Yanks being Yankee INC. word to the wise, if this team comes in third again this year don't expect to have the attendance stay the same when the team stinks. I do remember the 80s of course!

JTLYK, I came upon an interesting book this afternoon, bought it on impulse, and really haven't been able to put it down for long.
IT WAS NEVER ABOUT THE BABE: THE RED SOX, RACISM, MISMANAGEMENT, AND THE CURSE OF THE BAMBINO, by Jerry M. Gutlon (Skyhorse Publishing, 2009) 302 pp. It's a "warts and all" history of the BoSox by a lifelong Red Sox fan. Fascinating stuff---especially on the total travesty of the Yawkey ownership---and an excellent read. Somewhat Yankees related because it deals with the whole "Curse" mythos.

Thanks guys. Sorry if you're having issues. Hang in there with me.
I've been working on this since 10 pm ET on Friday, until now, with the exception of sleeping from 3 am to 9 am. So, it's been a long haul.

It's still a work in progress, and I have a lot left to do.
I may have to take a break for a while now.
But, at least the blog is up and running - sorta/kinda.

The theme seems messed up at the moment. I know the old theme was always misaligned in Firefox. Let me know if you need any advice. I am a web application developer/architect.

While the blue background was nicer than a generic white, I'm sure you are working on something. One big improvement I do see is that the main content area now expands to take advantage of available screen real estate. As an owner of a large monitor, bravo Steve. Crack open an ice cold bud light you broham of blogs.
