Man, I feel like I should do roll call today or something…

Roll call, as in “Der-ek Je-ter (clap, clap, clap-clap-clap)”? :-)

Question for you Steve – is this the redesigned site or a temporary design? I ask because it’s super-duper slow to load on both my PC at work and my Mac at home…

Depends MJ. How slow is slow? 10 seconds to load? More, less?

More. It takes about 20 seconds to load up, then another 10 or so seconds for the comment field to show up below the existing comments.

Over the weekend I just thought it might be my computer at home but now that it’s happening here at work, I’m curious as to why things are running so slow.

This new format has been somewhat slower for me as well. Although I always felt the last format was particularly fast, so I dunno.

This format also takes forever for me to load. I heard A-Rod helped design it, let’s blame him.

      Thanks guys.

~~I’m curious as to why things are running so slow.!~~

From what I’ve been told, it’s the new theme. It loads 13 javascript files and 3 CSS files. And, according to my guy, the loading time is not abnormal for what it’s doing.

Now, that said, if someone can find me a 3-column free Word Press user-friendly theme that’s not ugly, I would consider switching over to that – if it’s faster.

Not only that, but A-Rod is responsible for this bad economy, as well as for the recent violence in Pakistan. He’s also to blame for the lousier-than-usual quality of my deli sandwich for lunch today. I hate that guy.

Well, I’m sure the sandwich was being made sometime during the 12 to 1 ‘o’ clock hour (ie ‘clutch time’), and A-Rod simply cared too much about his stats to make a good sandwich during this high leverage situation. Of course, had you decided to get your sandwich at, say, 2:30, you would have gotten the best damn sandwich you’ve ever eaten.

People are blaming Afrod again? Nah, it’s all Cash Man’s fault! Cash Man is responsible for the decadence of NYC, the fall of Rome and the current economic crisis. He was part of the New World Order that brought Obama into office…… Quite frankly, no matter what Afrod does he’ll never be the Anti-Christ that Cash Man is to me………….

OK, I punted the new format for this one. Should load quicker. Just need to work out a few style issues with this one…

Steve, one question. Why have a twitter feed right above the recent posts thing when they both say the same thing?

    14. March 17th, 2009 | 9:36 am

FWIW, I don’t ecpect to have the Twitter thing there for long. I only have it up there so that people will know I’m on Twitter. Which, I did, BTW, because some said that many were into it…which the number of people who have decided to follow me really doesn’t tie to…
