      The Yankees blogosphere has been abuzz over the idea of signing newly released Josh Bard to compete for the back-up catcher role. I know Jose is a great defensive catcher, but he’s offensively inept. I think with the uncertainty of Posada, it seems logical to make a run at Bard.

      Thoughts?

      Bard? Lifetime OWP = .403

      Who’s to say that 2006 was not a fluke year for him. Sox let him go twice. I’m really not sure how much bat is really there…he could be no better than the usual no-stick BUC that the Yanks have had recently…
