    Could the Yankees recent high praise for Melky Cabrera all just be a matter of “putting the pig in a party dress” in order to see if the Brewers will take him for Mike Cameron? Well, in any event, that’s today’s wild thought.

      I don’t know whether Gardner can be a decent major league center fielder. Based on his last month of 2008 and his spring, 2009 I think he deserves a shot. I will be disappointed if the Yanks trade for an established cenrter fielder before the season begins and deny Gardner a chance to show what he can do.
