    ...a frog?

Not bird, nor plane, nor even frog, it's just a little 'ole baseball blog!

Anybody see the forecast for Baltimore? It looks like possible rain. I cannot deal with another opening day postponement, lol. (Thats a nervous lol)

Yeah, between the weather here in NYC, the forecast there in Baltimore, and this being a 4 pm ET start time, I don’t find myself as hyped up today, right now, about the opener – as much as I would be if the game was a 1 pm or 10 pm start and it was sunny everywhere that it mattered.

That said, with this being Opening Day, I bet that the O’s will do everything possible to get this game in today. Sure, there’s an off-day tomorrow. But, you cannot assume that everyone who made plans to be there today – esp. all the Yankees fans coming in – can take the day tomorrow as well. I’m sure the O’s management doesn’t want to play it’s opener in front of a half-full house and lose all that $ from concessions and the like…

Look like the rain might clear up by 2:00 or 3:00 so hopefully we’ll get the game in.

ya according to weather.com the rain is supposed to stop before 3, and that’d be the end of it…at most it’ll get delayed, lets get excited about being 1-0!

My Mo, the months and months of constant debating over crap to pass the time is over. Finally, the games count!

Agreed, also if the game is played will Girardi pull that Kennedy/Bruney experiment from last year? I think because Kennedy was a young/inexperienced in that is why that experiment was tried. CC seems to be the type of pitcher that wants the ball straight up.

Angelos and Co have enough problems with their club, do they need yet another one with a crappy Opening Day? Nah, It is supposed to clear up so baseball just might start today for the Boys from the Bronx.

Bret Gardner scores the Yanks first run of the season. Cool, eh?

WTF? Did everyone go into hiding? So we lose the first game of the year. That just means we have more reason to do well tomorrow. Just like the song says:
      Whaddya say we win a—brand—new—ballgame!
