Very good win today. AJ was good enough, bullpen was terrific, Swish, Cano and Tex just raked. Now let’s go into KC and take 2 of 3.

Very complete game so far. 9-2 Yanks in 9th. We hit and pitch very well. Wonder if they’ll bring in MO in 9th for some work.

My feeling is that it’ll come down to the final weekend for those two. The Tribe might have a pitching problem but the Twins offense doesn’t inspire me. Both are flawed teams but still the class of their division.

I would like to lighten everyone’s mood by providing the following bit of info:

Carl Pavano “pitched” for the Cleveland Indians and threw 39 pitches through 1 inning (plus 4 batters in the 2nd). In that extremely brief period of time, he gave up 6 hits, 9 runs (all earned), walked 3 and served up 2 homers. He did manage to strike out 1 batter which I guess is the bright side to his day.

Good effin’ riddance to him and may the Cleveland Indians decide to pitch him against the Yanks in Game 1 of the playoffs…
