      I just tweeted this, but doesn’t the morning always seem more pleasant after a Yankee win? Everything just feels right.

      I’ll take Tampa over Boston any day. I was totally rooting for them in playoffs last year..World Series..Phils all the way!

      Also I wanted to give my boy Robbie some props. I know its only 3 games but Cano has a .545 average so far. Cano opened last season with just one hit in his first 15 at-bats and didn’t collect his sixth hit until the Yankees’ eighth game.
      He also has already walked three times in the first three games, where last year it took him 10 games to walk once and 19 games to record three bases-on-balls. Keep it up!

      Robbie does deserve props. However, I don’t mean to dwell on anything negative, but did anybody happen to catch it when Jeter grounded into a dp on like, a 12 bouncer? Everybody goes crazy on his ground balls and defense, but I think our Captain may have lost a step during the offseason.

      Believe me Corey, the ONLY time I root for Tampa is against Boston. Same with the Jays and O’s. Crank, I think that was the outburst of runs that Jeter killed in the 6th. It seemed like Jeter was one of the few not invited to the hits party yesterday, and I agree about his slowness. Lets hope he hasnt lost too many steps.

      ================
      I think he’s been losing a step for a couple seasons now. Though I have no evidence to back this claim up, other than my own impression.

      ++++++++

      Not saying the DP isn’t annoying (and familiar) but he had 5 hits in the first two games, when almost nobody else was hitting. Everybody’s allowed an o-fer every once in a while.

      For those of you interested, there was another article, written by Kat O’Brien, outlining the behind the scenes of Cash’s attack to get Tex. Two paragraphs that interested me:

      “Perhaps one argument that swayed them was these words from Cashman about the Red Sox: ‘I know you’re not interested, but they’re going to get this guy. He’s going to fall in their lap, and he’s so perfect for us.’”

      “I remember telling ownership this is a guy that is the all-around, All-American- type boy that he is talented but he will never make a mistake with the media with a soundbite. He’ll always represent himself and the organization in the right way. If you could take them all like that, that’s the way you would want them.”

      I guess the first one shows us he really had to plead with the ownership to go after him. It also said in the article that he didn’t really pick up his pursuit until he saw the talks break down with the Sox, and that the first meeting in December was a “ploy” to gain leverage on CC. Then the second paragraph, it seems Cash keeps making subtle hints every time he speaks that he just doesn’t like A-Rod’s character. We’ve seen a bunch and idk, this kind of seems like another one.
