Whats up guys. I’m reporting to you from Sunny Tampa where tonight i’ll be heading into the crooked domed belly of the beast where our Yankees, minus Teixera :( , will take on the Tampa Bay Cowbells. I’m hoping to see a large Yankee fan turnout, but I think it may be more even. They will be unveiling their AL Champ Banner tonight and game is soldout. I really, really want a win tonight! Lets hope Wang can rebound and keep the ball down. Hopefeully having A-rod back with the team will give some spark. I’ll be there Tuesday night as well…Go Yanks!!

One week of Yankees baseball down…what does everyone think? Here’s a couple of my thoughts:

      1) Our starting pitching can be very special if health stays on our side. Everyone other than Wang has thrown out a quality start and he has a chance to do it tonight.
      2) My Mo we need Alex back as soon as possible. If Matsui were hitting, or Ransom was getting an occasional hit, than it would be ok. But neither are happening.
      3) Speaking of Matsui, he may be looking over his shoulder at Swisher. I really think Nady’s job is safe, but Matsui may be in trouble.
      4) If more games go down like yesterday, how soon do we see Melancon?

Have fun clint, bring some good karma. If we can take game 1 and beat Kazmir it would be huge

I agree with everything you have said Crank BUT it’s early. If it gets late early then Melancon will be up sooner than people think. It’s important that the Yanks get off to a great start(due to the nature of the division) and if the pen falters like yesterday then “Super Mel” will be up in no time…..

let’s also not discount Coke too much, watching him pitch he’s been throwing the ball a lot better then his line would indicate…there was one nasty slurve he threw last thursday (i think? whenever AJ pitched) that had me going wow…either way, this time last year we were gettin spanked by those same royals, so i still feel good to take 2/3 with that lineup that we’ve been puttin out there

I loved listening to Harry Kalas. He was no homer when it came to calling a game, he told it like it was. His criticisms of the Phils were very dead on. He had a close relationship to the players BUT wasn’t afraid to call the Phils out when they stunk. Kalas was the polar opposite of the homer Harry Caray/Midwestern type of broadcaster He also had a golden voice which worked to even greater effect as the voice of NFL films. I’ll miss him quite a bit………
