Butchie, I can't read your rambling posts anymore. I'm tired of even trying to respond to you. Whatever you think I said, sure, go ahead and run with it. I don't care enough to bother.

Proof that the super-expensive tickets are putting the die-hard fans that made Yankee Stadium a tough place for visiting teams further away from the action? Joel Sherman thinks so.
----------
Really? Seriously? Joel Sherman also thinks Joba should be in the bullpen.

Between ESPN and the blogosphere, you'd think that the old Yankee Stadium had never, EVER seen rich people come in or that fans were always at an ear-splitting decibel level in their interest/participation of the game. I've been to more games than I can count and I can assure you that it's been quiet enough for me to nap at a few of those ballgames...

Maybe its the wrong game to draw conclusions, but it was hard not to notice how quiet the crowd was practically from the start. Proof that the super-expensive tickets are putting the die-hard fans that made Yankee Stadium a tough place for visiting teams further away from the action? Joel Sherman thinks so.

And I really can't understand the 122 pitches in April. Second time in Sabathia's career he's thrown so many pitches before July, and the only other time was his last start for Cleveland. Yeah, he's a horse and all but he threw more innings and more pitches the last two seasons than anyone. Its only more likely to catch up to him if they allow him to work like that this early in the season.

Fortunately not. But one good thing DID come out of today’s game for me: today was the day where Damaso Marte earned his spot as the Yankee I hate the most. He’s been a pile of crap since he got here last July. He is now the lefty version of Kyle Farnsworth and I’d prefer to never see him pitch after the 6th inning ever again.
Tabata may never amount to shit but that’s what Nady/Marte are anyway…</blockquote>

Nady is shit? That is such a recklessly hyperbolic statement if I ever saw one.I agree with Marte, but No Emotion Nady the X-Man? C'mon that is beyond ridiculous. I can't wait to see what you say if Swisher Sweet repeats his wretched performance from Chicago! Don't worry I'll use the same brilliant line of intellectual reasoning : Swisher is shit! BTW Do you still want to have Pena replace Jeter,too? Jeter is such a drag on the team,right? Please.....

I saw the game and the Yankees have a serious bullpen problem. The problem is this: do they take a dominant type of closer like Joba and move him back into the pen OR do they keep him in the SP? Quite frankly, if MO goes down THEN Joba moves not otherwise. I don't need to see Hughes and/or Kennedy brought up again when the Yankees are trying to get into the playoffs again. Seemingly, Hughes has improved albeit in the minors. I'd rather have Joba in the SP, where he can give the SP arguably the most dominant SP in the majors. The clutch hitting was a big time problem as well. It just seems like this team couldn't get a clutch hit to save their lives yesterday. Then again, the once shaky Cliff Lee AKA One Hit Wonder/ Reincarnation of Esteban Louiza (with one amazing season and that might be about it) actually pitched well for a change.

Can't really blame Nady for getting hurt.
==================================
I don't blame Girardi at all.

7th inning; game is tied. Veras and Marte are the guys who are SUPPOSED to get you through that inning. That's the structure from before the season started, through spring training.

You're not leaving Coke in after the last two appearances, and after he got the hitter he was supposed to get in the 6th. You're not going to trust Albaladejo in that spot; not yet, anyway. You're not going to throw Robertson into a 1-1 game in the 7th in his 1st game back. You're not going to use Bruney for more than 1 inning when he's pitched in the last two games. And that's it; you're out of options. That's the spot for Veras and Marte, especially as they've both had at least two days of rest.

If you're not going to let them fail in that job in the 10th game of the season, then you shouldn't have had them on the roster at all.

Now, if AFTER this game, you want to change roles, that's OK with me. But you can't change roles before they fail. It seems to me that Marte is hiding an injury; just a feeling I get watching him throw with nothing on the ball.
