Look is it too early to panic? Yes and no. Are Marte/Veras the modern day equivalents of Stanton/Nelson , not quite. This whole debate about the pen will have people questioning the logic of Joba in the starting rotation again. I believe that Joba should only be utilized in the BP IF MO goes down in injury. Otherwise, the opportunity cost of not having Joba in the roation would be large. I’d much rather see Joba in the SR than the Hughes/Kennedy experiment this year……

Well stevo, I was there too today, and my total commute was probably about half of yours one way. I know how disappointed/disgusted I am right now witnessing that embarassment live, and can’t imagine how you are feeling given what I just read in your last post. Corey and clint, couldn’t be more with you. The strength of this pen is not the individual pieces – sans the obvious and looking like bruney as well – but the depth of power arms. With the volatility of relievers, when one is stinking the joint out like veras and marte are now, time to demote (veras) and bump down the depth chart (marte) while giving someone else a go. Robertson is hopefully here to stay and I don’t know how long you can wait on melancon the way things are going.
