Pavano was a wicked nutritionist, making 45,000 Yankees fans eat sh__ for six innings. Now we can all get that awful taste out of our mouths.

Nice piece of writing there :D

Burnit wasn't great yesterday, BUT he was good enough to keep the team in the game and that is the most important thing. So far,he hasn't demonstrated his doses of medriocrity that even permeated his run with Toronto even in his last year with them. BUT this game was the closest to what he did to the Jays last year in having a brilliant dazzling performance against Boston or the Yankees and then chumping out against a more mediocre team, though Cleveland can hit...witness the 22 run game the other day, then again the Wanger and Claggett helped them along, too!

I was there yesterday and man, I love the new Stadium. Bought a $20 upper deck seat and just stood on the lower concourse all game. It's like I paid $20 for a standing room seat that's one row behind the idiots that pay $1,000 for one game. Loved everything.

A few thoughts:

Who needs an ace? The Yankees are now 6-1 in games not started by Sabbathia or Wang.

Ah, Choo! Ransom's big hit was nothing to sneeze at (even if it was misplayed). I'm sure Cody will take it. And I was able to exhale.

My clutch player of the game was Jonathan Albaladego. Kudos to his Houdini in the cataclysmic 7th.

Thank God for Posada. Pavano was a wicked nutritionist, making 45,000 Yankees fans eat sh__ for six innings. Now we can all get that awful taste out of our mouths.
