I’ll disagree with this. Why buzz somebody if they have the skills set to steal home? Do we buzz players simply because they steal 2b, or 3b, or if they make a diving grab? It’s part of the game and if somebody from another team one-ups us you have to accept it and not throw at them. Save the buzz’s for if somebody hits A-Rod in the back or something.

The Aaron Hill stolen base at the Bluebird’s Skydome came immediately to mind. That was a deja vu-like flashback to that pathetic event. I’ll give the Red Sox credit BUT Ellsbury should have been buzzed! You can’t let him get away with a run like that. Just for the record, I would say the same thing if a Yankee did it as well.

the aaron hill steal off pettitte in toronto two years ago is probably even more apropos because it was another steal of home, but i get what you are saying situationally. either way, it’s all embarrassing.

is it too much to ask girardi to play someone capable of playing third at third base? you’re not getting any offense from third until alex returns. so play the best glove. pena is by so far and away better at third base than berroa (and ransom for that matter), it’s almost incomprehensible that girardi plays berroa on back to back days. to say nothing of pena being able to hit lefty against a righty sinkerballer, and NOTHING of pena beating out berroa in spring training. he is becoming and infuriating manger to root for.
