PS – “Happy Mother’s Day!” to all the Moms out there today. (Holy cow! Where would we be without Mom?)

Every Mother’s Day I am always reminded of the sage observation of owner/impressario Bill Veeck that if you ran your ball club for baseball fans you’d be out of business by Mother’s Day.
Nice one…

Madden wrote an article filled with strawmen and silly arguments. Not saying all of the article is rubbish, just a lot of it. Especially the part about the Yankee clubhouse, considering that Kepner and Abraham (and I believe Feinsand as well) have talked about the excellent chemistry on this club.
Don’t know if the template switch is permanent. if it is, it definitely loads much faster, but could use a bit of color.
Or not…….
Thanks – still mulling it over. That was just a test…
It is back up now. I know you are still working on it, but one thing that I really think you should keep is the recent comments widget. It really helps keep track of the various conversations at once.
Bummer. Had to ditch it. It wouldn’t allow widgets to be stacked up on the sidebar. Instead, it stuck the 2nd widget at the bottom of the page…back to the old for now…
Bummer. The current theme seems to crash every so often (in the sense that there are periods where I cant load the page). Is that just me, or have others had a similar complaint?
I think I have it all fixed. So, how does everyone feel about the new look?
This theme kinda looks like the apple website

I like it. I dont love having to scroll to see the recent comments, but it is better to have the page load quicker.

The theme is by Andrew Powers and Pagelines, inspired by Apple.

See the “down arrow” in the header of each box? If you click on that, you can “hide” the network box and the billboard – and then see the recent comments box closer to the top of the page. Pretty sure it stays that way when you refresh.
Excellent. I like it a lot. The font seems bigger and sharper, the page loads quicker, the quote/reply buttons work.
