One of my brothers asked me, If I thought that Torre has a feeling that the team would go downhill from 2007? I can only say that Torre was less clueless than we had thought……….
---------
Maybe. But if you take Torre's word at face-value, he wanted to come back for 2008 but couldn't accept their contract. Hence, if the contract had been to his liking, he'd have taken the job so he couldn't have thought too poorly of the team's 2008 prospects.

Again, only if you take Torre's words at par.

The Yankees put him a bad position by leaving him third and not resting him. Clueless Joe setting another player up for failure.</blockquote>

I love the irony that Gym Teacher Girardi gets that moniker now! It's ironic, because Joe is so intelligent in interviews and did a great job of breaking down the games for YES and FOX.On the surface , he seems to be a brilliant tatician , however in practice he has not looked so good. Then again, as I consistently emphasize look at the team Cash Man has assembled, not a bargain for 200 mill. One of my brothers asked me, If I thought that Torre has a feeling that the team would go downhill from 2007? Thanks. I'm trying to keep in very simple. At the most, I might go for a larger WW banner at the top...something like what I have now...just in a 750x150 size format. I'm still mulling that over. What I really like about the new format is that you can click the down arrows on the widget boxes on the side, and then they stay closed, even after refreshing. It's helpful when you want to hide graphics...in case someone at work may be looking at over your shoulder...or if you want to have the widget for the recent comments be the only one pen, etc.

I was sitting behind home and in his next AB, when he was in the on-deck circle, I made sure to refresh his memory on a simple little league play called "don't break for the bag when the ball is hit right at you and you can field it yourself you stupid idiot."

Have you seen Teix in the field? It’s as if he’s forgotten how to play 1B. I was at the game on Saturday and I was embarrassed for him.

I wonder how much the pressure of playing in NY has had on Teix. Yeah, he's had two homers the last two games, but he hasn't been all that great lately. Interesting that he has numbers close to Tino and we know how he ended up.....
